根据广西科技大学2026年寒假安排，现将国际学生寒假相关安排与温馨提示通知如下，请仔细阅读。
according to the 2026 winter vacation schedule of guangxi university of science and technology (gxust), please be advised of the following arrangements and reminders. please read them carefully.

the school of international education (sie) takes this opportunity to extend our sincere gratitude for your support over the past year. we believe that with our joint efforts, the internationalization of gxust will achieve even greater success in 2026. we wish those returning home a safe and pleasant journey, and those stay on campus a restful and enjoyable holiday.
●放假时间winter vacation schedule
2026年1月19日至3月6日放假。3月7日、8日（周末）返校报到注册，3月9日（星期一）正式上课。
the winter vacation will be from january 19 to march 6, 2026. registration for the new semester is scheduled for march 7 and 8, 2026. classes will begin on monday, march 9, 2026.
●安全提醒safety tips
1.自觉遵守中国法律法规和学校规章制度，不参与任何危害社会和学校稳定的活动，不得从事损害他人利益的行为。
all students must abide by chinese laws, regulations, and university rules. do not engage in any activities that may endanger social or campus stability, or that harm the interests of others.
2.进行宗教活动须遵循《中华人民共和国境内外国人宗教活动管理规定实施细则》。严禁在校内组织任何形式的宗教活动及非法传教。
religious activities must comply with the rules for the implementation of the provisions on the administration of religious activities of aliens within the territory of the people's republic of china. any form of religious activity on campus is strictly prohibited. illegal missionary work is forbidden.
3.持学习签证在华期间，不得就业、经商或从事其他经营性活动。
holding a study visa in china prohibits engagement in employment, business, or any other profit-generating activities.
4.请及时检查签证及居留证件有效期，签证逾期将被视为非法居留，请及时将护照提交辅导员办理延期手续。
check the validity of your visa and residence permit promptly. overstaying your visa constitutes illegal residence. please submit your passport to your counselor in a timely manner to apply for an extension.
5.主动学习各种安全防范知识和技能，提升人身和财产安全自我保护意识，谨防上当受骗。
students should proactively acquire knowledge and skills for safety precautions, enhance awareness for protecting themselves and their property, and guard against deception.
6.假期离校须提前向辅导员请假，告知行程，经批准后方可离校。
to leave campus during the vacation, you must obtain approval from your counselor by submitting a leave request and informing them of your itinerary.
7.离校前请切断宿舍水源、电源，确保宿舍安全卫生，妥善保管个人物品。
before departure, ensure that all water and power sources in your dormitory are turned off, the room is secure and clean, and personal belongings are stored safely.
8.遵守交通规则，选择安全可靠的交通工具，通过官方渠道购票，不乘坐非法营运、手续不全或超载的车辆、船舶。
comply with traffic rules, use safe and reliable transportation, and purchase tickets only through official channels. do not use illegally operated, unlicensed, or overloaded vehicles or vessels.
9.自觉抵制各类非法出版物与有害网站，不酗酒，不斗殴。严禁携带、私藏管制刀具等危险品，远离“黄、赌、毒”。不在网络发表或散布非法信息。
refrain from accessing illegal publications or harmful websites, excessive drinking, fighting, and possessing controlled items such as knives. stay away from po rnography, gambling, and drugs. do not publish or disseminate illegal information online.
10.注意饮食卫生，预防食物中毒。
maintain good dietary hygiene to prevent food poisoning.
11.严禁在江河、湖泊等自然或陌生水域游泳。注意防范雨雪冰冻、洪涝台风、泥石流、雷电等自然灾害，确保人身安全。
swim in natural or unfamiliar waters (e.g. rivers, lakes) is strictly prohibited. stay alert to natural disasters including freezing rain, floods, typhoons, mudslides, and thunderstorms to ensure personal safety.
12.严禁无证驾驶摩托车，严禁在校园内驾驶电动自行车。不建议租用电动自行车出行，请尽量选择公共交通工具。
it is strictly forbidden to drive a motorcycles without a license or to ride an e-bikeoncampus. renting e-bike for daily commute is not recommended. please use public transportation whenever possible.
13.严禁留宿非本校学生，违者将根据校规及相关法规严肃处理。
hosting non-gxust students in university dormitories is strictly prohibited. violations will be dealt with seriously in accordance with university regulations.
14.宿舍内严禁使用热电棒（俗称“热得快”）、电炉、电炒锅、电茶壶等大功率危险电器。发现他人使用此类电器应及时制止或报告。
the use of high-power or hazardous appliances such as immersion heaters ("heat faster"), electric stove, woks, or kettles is prohibited in dormitories. promptly stop or report anyone using such devices, as they pose a safety risk.
15.假期请保持通讯畅通，主动定期与辅导员保持联系。
ensure your communication channels remain open and maintain regular contact with counselors proactively.
16.请按时返校，因特殊情况无法按时返校者，须提前向辅导员说明原因。自开学日起，未经批准逾期两周未返校者，将按退学处理；拒不办理者，将给予开除学籍处分。
return to campus on time after the vacation. if exceptional circumstances prevent timely return, you must explain the reasons to your counselor in advance. beginning on the first day of the semester, students who are absent for more than 2 weeks without approved permission will be subject to withdrawal procedures. those who refuse to comply will be dismissed.
